This was a quick cute read. I liked the characters and there were a lot of funny one liners. Only wish the book was longer.
I LOVE messed up people!
And a well-adjusted protagonist is SO hard to come by... It's unbelievable.
This was fun. Downside - too short. Would love some more to read. It reminds me of [b:Kid Dark Against The Machine|30365422|Kid Dark Against The Machine|Tansy Rayner Roberts|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1465272863s/30365422.jpg|50876629], in a very good way.
It's not exactly a phylosophycal work on moralities of Good and Evil. It's not supposed to be.

Great idea, poorly executed.
Mostly I liked the story. Interesting characters, interesting plot, and a bisexual main character. All wins for me. However, I felt there wasn't enough build up or chemistry between the two main characters. I also felt that there were several loose ends that needed to be tied up. For example, (spoiler alert) Captain Superior found out he killed Tad's family and starts reflecting on his actions but what does he do to help prevent such things in the future or id Tad's dad ever recovers. I realise it's a short story it just felt rushed and like it had pieces missing.… (altro)
