Robert Kurson received a bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin and a law degree from Harvard Law School. He practiced real estate law before becoming a writer. In 2000, Esquire published his first magazine story My Favorite Teacher, which became a finalist for a National mostra altro Magazine Award. He won a National Magazine Award in 2006 for a profile in Esquire, which he later turned into a book. His stories have also appeared in Rolling Stone and The New York Times Magazine. Shadow Divers di Robert Kurson
(2004)Very good NF about wreck divers who find a WW2 UBoat that isnt supposed to be there. They struggle to find out which one it is and why it is there. Divers lose their lives and others have their lives forever changed.
Robert Kurson does a wonderful job with his writing. He always keeps me on the edge of my seat even when I know how things will turn out. Ray Porter did a great job narrating. A fascinating look at the Apollo 8 mission from start to finish with all the background needed to completely understand the triumph it was. I will keep looking for anything Robert Kurson writes. He has opened new worlds to me. Thank you very much!
Only one confirmed pirate ship had been found when two galleon hunters were lured away from certain treasure from a sunken Spanish ship to look for a pirate ship off an island in the Dominican Republic. Based on certain sources they were supposed to find it in a specific location and yet it wasn‘t there. Years of research, tenacity, & ingenuity landed them the big prize. This an excellent book, well written and researched. Highly recommended.
Excellent! This was not a true pageturner for me but I enjoyed it from beginning to end and now I’m inspired to order a book on Apollo 13.
