Walter Donald Kring

The author was the minister of All Souls in New York City for twenty-three years. He was a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, wrote two devotional books and received multiple honorary degrees. This work is not a typical parish history, but instead about the men and women who founded the first Unitarian Churches in our nation's principle city from 1819-1839. Also included is a brief history of religion the city prior to 1819. The seventy illustrations--some of them quite rare--are well worth perusing. This book is footnoted and has a good index.… (altro)
