The first volume of the cookbook series based on the Galloping Gourmet television show, this cookbook is structured around the intention of holding a Dinner Party ("Cocktail parties are social suicide") and entertaining your small gathering of guests with good food. Recipes within range in complexity and elaborateness, but all are guaranteed to impress, with the Wineburger and Bluff Bolar among my personal favorites.

The third volume in Graham Kerr's cookbook series based on his TV show, The Galloping Gourmet. More indulgent recipes meant mainly for dinner parties, including an advertisement at the end for Galloping Gourmet Cookware.

In this volume of Galloping Gourmet television cookbooks, Graham Kerr starts things off by walking the reader through his concept of cooperative dinner parties and S.P.O.D.E (Society for the Propagation of Delicious Eating), probably the most unappetizing acronym you'll ever come across. The rest of the book is divided into sections for each course of the meal, from the First Course to Desert. Many of Kerr's recipes are rather ambitious, and the average person won't find much along the way of casual dining recipes, but there are plenty of interesting dished in here for the adventurous home chef.… (altro)
