This book is extremely helpful and absolute garbage at the same time!!! The author has written countless short, self-help, ted-talk-style ebooks. Judging from his writing, I wouldn't expect too much out of any of them. BUT, at the same time, he is most definable prolific. So search for advice on quality, organization, or language elsewhere, but his simple advice on conquering procrastination is really helpful. I found it motivational to just read a page or two at a time when I'm stuck on my own writing. Even when the advice wasn't that great or was something I already do, it got me off my ass.… (altro)

This is a short ebook which examines the way TED talk presenters make compelling presentations through storytelling. The author, a public speaking coach, watched 200 TED talks and draws on the examples from talks on which techniques he is describing.

This book doesn't say anything appreciably different from other public speaking books and seems to be an abbreviated version of another book he has written.

TED talks need to cover their topics in 18 minutes or less. This book, which describes sensible presentation techniques based upon TED talk examples, does the book equivalent of a TED talk delivering a clear message in a very short format.

Readers will find that they are probably using many of the tips in their presentations today - it is nevertheless useful to see them described here as a reminder to think about using them in future presentations.
