What the hell. I knew that it was going to be pure smut, but Jessa Kane books are wild. I do appreciate that the mmc was overweight though. A guy doesn't need to have a six-pack to be sexy.

I like the medieval setting and the characters were alright, but some of the scenes that were meant to be serious or sexy, ended up being ridiculous.

I really liked half of this medieval novella, the other half wasn't my style. The hero was a strange mix between awesome and loutish. The heroine was strong, but kind of wishy-washy. I liked the characters' connection, but it was very instalove.

The MFM or MMF romances are a flavor I can devour! The premise was a little flimsy BUT I like the dynamic of the trio and it had some super steamy scenes.

The premise of this was different than we see in romance books. I really enjoyed the "stalker" role being the female, but not in the boil your bunny sort of way.

It was an enjoyable read but I kept wanting something more. The forgiveness at the end from the big secret twist that came out with the fortune teller, was just weird because of the instant forgiveness. I would have expected a different reaction.

Still, the book served a purpose and entertained me for a few hours. That shows that the other is a talented writer.

Some more of the writing stuck out to me as not great compared to the other Jessa Kane books I’ve read but I still enjoyed this. This was a pretty standard JK story and because I like her stories, I generally enjoyed this. I’m a big fan of the very large and gruff, blue-collar hero in a romance and I liked that we got that here.½

The writing is not very good or engaging. I like the concept, but this short story is just too short to do it well. The characters are flat (not enough time to flesh them out) and because the story is rushed, the romance is far too insta-love/ insta-lust to enjoy.

Holy shit this book was amazing. Scout and Easton have such great chemistry. The smut was so fucking hot as usual. The mafia type theme was really good too! I loved the nickname “cutie”. Such a really great short story read!
