When I say that I had 5th graders dying to look at this book, I mean it. We spent a few days exploring nonfiction books and the moving pictures in this one gained everyone's affection. It's been said that engaging pictures and familiar concepts are key to getting students to read nonficiton, and this book proves that point. Each page focuses on a new ocean animal, mammal or non-mammal, and provides information about the animal with a moving picture.
