This is a cute little story, or, actually, two stories in one. It starts out with a teacher, Todd, helping to protect a new student for being bullied, but the actual story is about Todd’s background. It was interesting to see where he’d come from (as he once feared his family) and how strong and self-confident he has become. While the new student still has this journey ahead of him, Todd and his partner of over twenty years, Shane, have already completed it.

If you like stories with main characters who stand up and fight for themselves, and if you like seeing how things can become better, you will probably like this story. It left me with a big smile on my face.

What if the way you look makes people assume you're a sub – but you're not? As such, that isn’t necessarily a showstopper, so to speak. But it does mean that Brett ends up missing a piece of personal happiness he isn’t even aware he misses. At least, that is what he tells himself. Luckily, his best friend knows better an pushed him toward Damien.

For Brett, the situation is complicated. The only reason he doesn't bottom is a very bad experience, and when he runs into Damien, his old dreams about being dominated (in the nicest possible way) all come back to haunt him. So much so, that for the first time in years, he starts to wonder whether the grass may be greener on the other side of the fence, the one where he is able to submit without fear of getting hurt, after all.

Damien is a great guy. Super-patient and a total romantic, he doesn't give off any of the overly Dom-my signals that would make Brett run the other way. He takes his time to get to know Brett, and

This isn't really a story about BDSM, it is about trusting another man enough to open up and get a little kinky with him. The D/s in this is very subtle, and clearly shows who is in charge of the relationship progressing to a physical level – Brett, not Damien, takes the first step. If you like stories with a lot of romance, if you enjoy a slow buildup that comes to a head in a explosive story ending, and if a little kink is what you're looking for, you will probably like this story.
