Gregory Jenks is an Anglican priest and biblical scholar. He is Academic Dean at St Francis Theological College, Brisbane and Senior Lecturer in the School of Theology, Charles Sturt University. The Once and Future Scriptures: Exploring the Role… di Gregory Jenks
More Anglican theology than I anticipated. I probably could not adhere to that theology. Each author had some good ideas that may or may not be incorporated into my "story".
It has been 13 years since Gregory Jenks wrote this book; I wonder how he might edit it in light of those years. I really enjoyed the different perspectives he gave, many of which were helpful to me personally.
The concept and title required some adjustments. Overall, the essays presented new ideas for me to consider, which I appreciated. The one essay that presented the most difficulty was The Aryan Jesus; while I knew some of the broad strokes of the information, the 'on the ground' tactics were new to me and very unsettling. However, I needed to know so I am glad I read it. Now I look forward to the next two books.
