I liked the soundings of the phrases. update after france.UPDATE - good for those crappy situations but I suggest finding a kid to assist translation

The worst of the old-style Lonely Planet phrasebooks. Where their Spanish and German books were enough to get me started when travelling in countries speaking those languages, this one failed. The omission of some system of phonetic pronunciation to help deal with the very difficult French spelling system is unforgiveable.
