- Breve biografia
- Judith Ish-Kishor was born in Boston and raised in London, England, the eldest of eight children in a Jewish family. Her father Ephraim Ish-Kishor was a noted author and an early Zionist leader. Her younger sister Sulamith also became a writer. As a young teenager, Judith emigrated with her family to the USA, settling in New York City and attending Hunter College. She was a pioneering writer of Jewish children's books, with titles that included Adventure in Palestine: The Search for Aleezah (1947), Joel Is the Youngest (1954), and Tales from the Wise Men of Israel (1962). She also wrote a syndicated column, The Sabbath Angel, for the Anglo-Jewish press.
