I liked the story. It had great characters, a twisty storyline and plot that kept me guessing to the end. I read it fairly quickly to find out the 'who dunnit' bit. However, I did struggle a bit with the way it is written and some of the formatting. Cannot put my finger on it really, but it felt that each chapter, told a bit and moved on, told a bit and moved on; and the chapters are fairly short. To put it another way, I knew it was a story and I was being fed relevant information for the plot to move forward, but I did not really believe in the characters because they were there for the story and did not have much depth or interaction apart from keeping the storyline moving. I enjoyed Patrick Hurley's book "64". The book description intrigued me and I was hooked after the first couple of pages. Who are these killers? Who is calling the shots? Why are they killing innocent men, woman and children in different small college towns? These are all questions I kept asking myself while reading this story. Several times, I thought the answer is forthcoming, but then ran into a dead end and a new twist in the storyline. I found myself rooting for Mike Gallagher in his quest to find these killers and bring them all to justice. The book is easy to read and will not let you go, it continues to run through your head after closing the book to sleep. The ending will blow you away!

My criticism of the book is that the formatting in my Kindle seemed non-existent, blank pages separated chapters or began immediately after the last word of the preceding chapter, many pages only contained thirty words or less making me suspicious of the total length of the book as advertised. "64" should have also gone through a round of copy editing as there are errors throughout the book. These criticisms resulted in the loss of one star.

However, apart from what I wrote in the last paragraph, I will still recommend "64" to others. Nice job Mr. Hurley!
