Dear lord. I am horrified that young people would look at this story and think this is a relationship they would want to be in. Everything about this couple is profoundly fucked up. The hero is an entitled asshole who treats women like utter shit, the heroine included. For her part, the heroine in a dysfunctional mess that needs years of therapy before she should ever attempt a relationship. They are awful together. The dialog is definitely the shit that teenagers say to each other, so while realistic, there is no way I can connect with the characters because all I could think about is how 18-year-olds are complete idiots.

I was really excited about this series because I LOVE damaged heroine, but this isn't about love and healing, it's about how teenagers SUCK AT RELATIONSHIPS. Please stop making major life decisions when you're in this phase of mental deficiency. Sweet Jesus. Not putting this on my traumatized heroine shelf because this is an example of that trope done wrong.

The messages in this book make Twilight seem downright feminist. Please, please, please keep this book away from impressionable youth!!!… (altro)
