Get A Life, Chloe Brown, was a very readable book, fast-paced, page-turning, enjoyable. It wasn't until after I put the book down that I began to think more about what I'd just read.

Black woman with serious fibromyalgia + white man coming out of an emotionally abusive relationship does not equal an instant attraction, a love match, a relationship. Living with chronic pain myself, I know that most of the time the last thing on my mind is sex and a steady boyfriend. My mind is mostly thinking "when can I take another pain killer?" I've also been in an abusive relationship, and I just don't bounce back as quickly as Red does in this book. Two therapy appointments are not a cure, and I'm still finding this out many years down the line. I think this book, while feeling generous with an unusual couple, fails to be realistic about how difficult it would be to make this work.

There were a lot of fun parts to this book. I really enjoyed the chapter where e-mails are exchanged between Chloe and Red - I've always liked the epistolary novel.

The sex scenes in this book made me uncomfortable, and as there are several of them, that's important. They didn't feel like erotica, and I felt dirty reading them.

Not a great book, but it made for a relaxing night of reading.

The only complaint I have is that, it should have been longer. The epilogue came up and I was so sad. However, I think it goes without saying, Talia Hibbert is a master in her craft! She deserves all the stars and awards and recognition she’s getting!

Okay so out of the there Brown Sister books, I think this was number 2. Both Eve and the guy (I forget his name at the moment), but both of them were really relatable in an almost, "do I need to see a doctor about a potential diagnosis" I had to put the book down pretty often because of this and think and do some research. Hence the 0.1 deduction. Otherwise it would have been a full 4 star read.
Overall, it was light, it was funny. Loved the fact that there's a cheeky musical treat in there, that I absolutely loved, and can I just say most songs are bangers! Such a wonderful treat.
Okay last comment, the steamy scene, whew Chile!! you aren't ready. I wasn't ready for one particular tidbit in there, that was wonderfully surprising!

I thought the first book (Get a life Chloe Brown) was good, but this, this was so much better! I even shed some tears. There is no doubt Talia can write a romance novel and give us everything you want in one. It felt like being given everything you’re craving at once when you’re on your period. There was fluff, there was smut (which was well done, might I add!!), there was cheesiness in all its gooey gloriness, and strong character development. I’m new to the world of romance, so experiencing such diverse characters, was nothing short of splendid, great!! Give Talia all her flowers and accolades because this book was it!… (altro)
