Excellent book but what are authors doing with timelines. This timeline is so messed up it is a bit difficult to follow anything. This book presents the demise of a relationship. The characters are well written, real and interesting. New version of Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley.

If anyone has been in a relationship that unravels -- this book does a wonderful job at depicting this. I really liked the writing style of the author. I also liked how things were discussed but we did not need the details as sometimes it is better to understand the circumstances and allow our imagination to do the work. Good read for a book club selection.

I really enjoyed this book as it navigated an adult breakup and all the feelings that come from it. The author did a good job at talking about mental illness and how they can effect a person we love.

A relationship ends; its story is told in reverse. This was a creative approach to a romance unraveling that I felt was successful in trying to understand what went wrong.

It was well written and poignant, with a realistic examination of family, damaged psyches, and people trying to make their way in the world. At times, near the end (which was the beginning of the relationship!), it did drag a bit, but overall a decent read.
