I enjoyed this account of the disputed discovery of the North Pole and the newspapers involvement and reporting of the events. I was not aware of these events, and found the book very interesting. If some of the details of the polar expeditions themselves, seem to be a bit scarce, reasons will become evident. At times, the newspaper history was a bit tedious, but provided useful context for the reporting of the parties disputed events. This is worth a read, particularly if you're not aware of the history.½
