Izzy's father reveals to the family that he is transgender, identifying as a woman, and plans to transition. For Izzy and older sister Megan, they respond with confusion and anger while younger brother Jamie is unfazed. Izzy deals with what are likely common issues facing kids who have a transitioning parent: the reaction of kids at school, what to call Dad, remembering to use she/her pronouns, witnessing her parent step out in public (and on local TV, no less), and worrying about the family staying together.
