This book has me really hyped for book 3 coming up. I loved book 1 and read this one straight after. This book picks up right where the last book left off and really ramped up the intensity.
I love how the characters are always moving towards something. Their goals are simple but that allows the story to focus more on the action and no lack of character development.
It was a very fast read for me and I enjoyed every second of it.

The characters were great, and each brought a unique perspective that drew me further into this world.
There was action from the off and the battles were brutal in their descriptiveness.
The plot took a little while to get going, but the slow introduction paid off greatly in the end as everything came together.
As a start to a trilogy this book has got me fully hyped and invested. I am excited to see where the story goes from here.… (altro)

Medieval setting with strong Norse myths flavour and a heavy emphasis on warriors, many of whom are women. In ancient times actual gods physically walked the world but they caused a terrible catastrophe and people descended from them are cast out and hunted down.
The story is a real page turner and mostly successful in achieving suspension of disbelief. Recommended.

_Fritha il cui trauma (prevedibile) giustifica la scelta della fazione ma non spiega minimamente la discesa aberrante verso la folle ignominia.
_Riv sempre ottusa e fastidiosa ma essendo tutto un susseguirsi infinito di combattimenti non le rimane molto tempo x la crescita personale (pero si per la relazione amorosa)
