WOW! Where have I been? I loved this book and I started to read it just yesterday, but I couldn't put it down!! I was intrigued that McKenzie Rush had lived her life in Alaska taking care of her dad who had PSTD until he had died from a hunting accident and her dad told her that her mom had left them. She was isolated with no friends ad only books to read. She remembered that her dad had a SEAL buddy, and he offered her a ticket and a job. She knew that she was over her head with the uniform she had to wear ,but she had saved most of her wages and tips so she could find a better place. I LOVED DOZER AS HE SAW BEYOND THE WAITRESS IN THE PINK PALACE WHO HAD BRUISES ON HER AND HOW SKINNY SHE WAS AND MADE HER EAT WITH HIM UNTIL HE HAD TO PUT TO HIS SEAL FACE! I could feel the attraction that grew between them, as he fought not to let her into his dark heart. I hope to read book 9 soon!!… (altro)

"Risky Hero," by Jenna Gunn is a cute romance novel about Sara & Jackson. Sara is a nurse who was on her way to 10K Race when she runs into a total stranger...almost literally with her Jeep. Jackson, a Marine, was in a ditch with no phone, keys, or wallet: unsure how or when he got there.
After making sure Jackson didn't suffer any potential injuries, she does what only an insane person would do, Sara invites the total stranger into her car, not knowing anything about him.
Jackson accompanies Sara to her race which did not end the way she wanted, but she received one of the best weekends of her life.

Hunter is one of the bachelors at a charity bachelor auction. Rachel is an ex-lover and wins him. She wants to extract revenge but keeps getting sidetracked. She seems to be done with him when he stands her up with no explanation. Will she walk away this time? Will she listen this time?

I liked this story. It needed more fleshed out on character development and backstory. I would have liked a better idea why Hunter walked away in the past. I did like the characters I read but they could have been deeper and richer. I liked the story. I was happy with what happened before the epilogues. I will read this author again.… (altro)
