1st Printing of a very interesting document completely unknown which contains one of the earliest mention and most likely the first illustration in any language on the use of niopo (yopo) among the Amazonian tribes Ottomacos & Amarizonos. The yopo is extracted from the seeds of the tree Anadenanthera peregrina. The seeds contains DMT, 5-MeO-DMT and related compounds. The article describes the effects on the members of these tribes of the inhalation of the yopo. The front page of the journal contains a full page with a fascinating B & W drawing of members of the tribe snorting the yopo. Not in Ott.… (altro)

D'après la préface, cette histoire a été conçue pour l'éducation de la jeunesse. Je l'ai lue il y a très longtemps, je l'avais aimée, mais je ne pense pas qu'aujourd'hui ce soit le cas, car l'auteur annonce d'entrée que "cette édition revue rajoute au nombre de naufragés des individus qui seront tentés par la fièvre de l'or à la recherche duquel ils consacreront leur misérable existence, et mourront. Ce livre est un cours complet de colonisation" !!! À part sa belle reliure je crois qu'il ne mérite pas vraiment l'attention !!^^… (altro)
