I like this book, because Sacramento is almost a character in the book. Terris really creates a sense of place within the book. The characters are people I've met.

As if my prayers for something different in a book were immediately answered this book fell into my lap via neighborhood lending library. Powerful.

I really enjoyed this story. There is something about the way individuals react to each other in community that appeals beyond the traditional PI story.½
