Ralph Giordano was born on March 23, 1923 in Hamburg, Germany. He was persecuted as a young man for his Jewish heritage. He was repeatedly interrogated by the Gestapo and survived the Nazi-era along with his parents and brother by hiding in a friend's cellar. After the war, he became a communist mostra altro but left the German Communist Party in 1957 because of his dislike for Stalinism. He was a journalist and author. He joined the West German broadcaster WDR as a journalist in 1964 and remained there until 1988. He became a freelance writer, chronicling his experiences in Nazi Germany. He wrote 23 books during his lifetime including Die Bertinis, which tells the story of a German-Italian family from the late 19th century and into World War II. Recently, he became a prominent critic of Germany's failure to integrate Muslim immigrants. He died after being hospitalized following a fall at home on December 10, 2014 at the age of 91. Ein unglaubliches Leben, das fest auf moralisch-analytischen Grundsätzen steht. Ralph Giiordano ist ein Denker, den ich zutiefst bewundere.

Eine Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten über die Tierliebe des Autors und seiner Familie. War nicht mein Stil (und Tiere mag ich auch nicht besonders), aber ich hatte nichts anderes mit in der UBahn also hab ichs trotzdem ausgelesen. Waren ja nur 120 kleinformatige Seiten.

Na zijn terugkeer op aarde ontdekt Jeepster al snel dat er het een en ander is veranderd in zijn oude omgeving. Een zekere Geminiani is vast avn plan de heeerschappij over de hele stad in handen te krijgen. De enige manier om in de buurt van de villa te komen waarin deze gangster zich heeft verschanst, is via een ingewikkeld, ondergronds buizenstelsel.

Parijs, in een nabije toekomst. In het noorden van de stad bestrijden twee benden elkaar: De Cactussen (aangevoerd door Jeepster) en de Luizen. tegen een achtergrond van geweld en onverdraagzaamheid ontwikkeld zich een liefdesgeschiedenis, waardoor Jeepster uiteindelijk in een strafkolonie in de ruimte terechtkomt.
