Sweet, straightforward story of a professor, Donald Astropopov, from the planet, Juno, who lands in a village on Earth with his dog. The townspeople welcome him, he learns that they grow plants in gardens, shows them how to make a greenhouse, discovers winter and winter fun, and realizes as he spends time with the dentist's daughter, Hortensia, that he loves her. The book story ends happily with a wedding.
The illustrations are nice. The writing is very matter-of-fact, but lovely.

The rest of the story is drawn and only the moon stones are given specific attention signifying they are special and mysterious.… (altro)

I liked the moral of the story and enjoyed the fantasy element of the moon lake.
