You're drawn in as soon as you start reading, and there's enough twists that you can never be totally sure where you'll end up next. I can't decide whether I like Brynleigh and her fiery spirit or swoon-worthy Ryker. Although, a morally gray FMC set on revenge against the MMC just takes it all up a notch. They're almost the definition of opposites, yet the sparks they set off could start a forest fire. The world-building is excellent, and although I'd hate to take part in "The Choosing" it's a nice new twist. I can’t wait to grab book two and dive in!… (altro)

There was no sign of Second Book Syndrome in sight! While there was a short slow section in the middle of the book, for the most part, the action does not stop. I'll be eagerly waiting for the third book to release.
Also to note, I love the style of these covers.
