In Fall's Hope, the third book in the Camden Lake Tales series, author Heather Hummel Gallagher weaves a wonderful women's fiction story that follows the backstory of Jamie Jacobson's birth father, Brett McGriff.

The author weaves a fascinating tale that easily engages the reader to follow Brett McGriff's journey as he deals with the knowledge that his ex-high school girlfriend Elizabeth Daniels had a baby girl and gave her up for adoption, and did not let him know until she sent him a letter two years later while he was away at college.

Brett's story takes the reader from May 1978 through the Spring of 2015. Brett and his college girlfriend Melanie Piper graduate from college in Maine and settle in California where he attended veterinarian school at UC Davis. Brett has thought about his daughter every day since he read the letter, and wonders what her life is life throughout the years. Brett and Melanie get married in May 1983, and settle into their life in Pacific Grove, where he is a veterinarian, and Melanie has established a dog rescue. As the years go by, Brett still thinks about his daughter somewhere out in the world, and on his fifty-eighth birthday in 2014, he and Melanie are watching the news and see his ex-girlfriend Elizabeth fetaured on there, she is running for Congress and tells her life story and introduces the crowd to her daughter, Jamie. Brett is determined to finally meet his daughter, who lives not too far from them, and hopefully be given the chance to have a relationship with her.

Fall's Hope is a heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable story. You can't help but feel for Brett as his world changed after learning that he has a daughter somewhere out in the world, and how he learns to live with his desire to find her throughout the years, until fate finally provides him the opportunity he has dreamed about. The author takes the reader along for the ride as Brett's life unfolds from college graduation in May 1978 to his retirement in the Spring of 2015. Brett's story will pull at the heartstrings, and will leave the reader with a warm fuzzy feeling, and a satisfied smile.

Fall's Hope is a compelling women's fiction story that will pull at your heartstrings and touch your soul.

In Winter's Truth, the second book in the Camden Lake Tales series, author Heather Hummel Gallagher weaves a wonderful women's fiction story that follows the coming of age backstory of Jamie Jacobson's birth mother, Elizabeth Daniels.

In the Spring of 1971, thirteen year old Elizabeth Daniels came to live with her maternal grandparents in Shippend, Maine, when her parents were killed while overseas in Stockholm.

The author weaves a fascinating tale that easily engages the reader to follow Elizabeth's coming of age journey as she learns to deal with the loss of her parents, and move forward with her life. Elizabeth's story takes the reader from the Spring of 1971 through the Winter of 1975. Elizabeth settles into her life with her grandparents, finding friends and enjoying her teenage years, but when she turns sixteen in the Spring of 1974, she is in a relationship with eighteen year old Brett, who is graduating from high school and going to college in the Fall. Elizabeth becomes pregnant and her choices and decisions on how to handle her pregnancy will have consequences that will change her life forever.

Winter's Truth is a heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable coming of age story. You can't help but feel for Elizabeth as her world changed after the deaths of her parents, and how she had to learn to embrace her teenage years while living with her grandparents. Elizabeth discovers that her world is filled with a loving family and friendships, but also a world where life challenges will guide her teenage choices and decisions, and the consequences that come along with them.

In Summer's Wisdom, author Heather Hummel Gallagher weaves a wonderful women's fiction story that follows Jamie Jacobson's journey of self-discovery, as she learns to overcome a life of self-doubt, in order to find love and happiness.

In the spring of 1990 when Jamie Jacobson was sixteen years old, her parents told her that she was adopted after she was born on Christmas Eve of 1974, and left on the steps of a church wrapped in a blanket and placed in a basket. That information turned everything Jamie knew in her life upside down, and she grows up with abandonment and self-doubt issues.

Fast forward to the summer of 2014, forty year old Jamie and her best friend Trinity had moved in 2009 from their hometown in Rhode Island to Pacific Grove, California, and Jamie has been growing her local catering company. Trinity gives Jamie an opportunity to put her catering company on the map with a large party on her ranch at the end of August. While they were planning the party, Jamie has an unexpected reunion with Phil Maxwell, a boy she had met at camp in Camden Lake, Maine back in the summer of 1990. Phil is an oceanographer and musician, who is hired to play at Trinity's party. Jamie is busy coordinating the menu with Phil's song list for the Cinderella themed event, when out of the blue her birthmother has found her and wants to meet. Jamie is conflicted over meeting her birthmother and dealing with a lifetime of abandonment and self-doubt issues, but her choice will lead her on a journey of self-discovery that will guide her to finding her career passion, love, and happiness.

Set in Pacific Grive, California with a backstory set in Providence, Rhode Island and Camden, Maine, the author weaves a fascinating tale that easily engages the reader to follow Jamie's journey as she learns to overcome her life issues in order to find self-worth, fulfill her career passion, and provide love and happiness that she seeks in life.

The author does a wonderful job of describing Jamie's journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how much I loved reading about Jamie's past, and how dealing with her life issues she was finally able to get the answers that she had been seeking for so long, giving her the ability to move forward with her life.

Summer's Wisdom is a heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable story. You can't help but root for Jamie as she discovers that her world is filled with a loving family and friendship, along with a sense of belonging, finding love, following one's passion, and that she's ultimately in control of how she lives her life with self-acceptance and happiness.

Summer's Wisdom is an inspirational and feel good women's fiction story that will pull at your heartstrings, touch your soul, and leave a smile on your face.

What would you do if you were awarded a quarter-million dollars? Well then come along for the ride as a young woman considers two choices of directions in life to follow after being awarded a life-changing civil court lawsuit settlement.

In Call It Kismet, author Heather Hummel Gallagher weaves a wonderful women's fiction story that follows Lucy Brown's inspirational journey of self-discovery, as she considers two choices of directions in life to follow, and the landscapes and people she would meet along the way that would help change her life forever.

In a span of one year (Spring 1994 - Spring 1995), Lucy Brown's two choices of life directions will lead her on a journey of self-discovery that will guide her to finding her career passion, love, and happiness.

Set in Ithaca, New York with stops around the US (New York City; Erie, Pennsylvania; Harbor View, Ohio; Charlotteville, Virginia; Racine, Wisconsin; the Badlands, South Dakota; and the Outer Banks, North Carolina), and told in the third person alternating narrative, the author weaves a fascinating tale that easily engages the reader to follow Lucy's journey as she considers two different directions to take in her life: travel the US highways for a year following her passion for photographing America's landscapes; or attend the University of Virginia School of Law in Charlottesville, with a focus on the area of Intellectual Property Law (Copywrite Law).

As Lucy's journey takes her around the country, her life is touched by the different locales and landscapes and people that she meets along the way. Lucy's journey to choose which direction in life to follow is told in alternating chapters within the one year span of 1994-1995, and is broken down into snippets of the locales she visits, and a reflection of which direction would ultimately fulfill her passion and provide the happiness she seeks in life.

The author does a wonderful job of describing Lucy's journey of self-discovery, while also providing the reader with an amazing description of the various locales and landscapes in the US that would rival any popular travel guide. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how much I loved reading about Lucy's past, and how finding nickles everywhere was a heavenly loving sign from her parents, it gave me goosebumps as I also find coins left by my parents in heaven when I least expect it.

Call It Kismet is a heartwarming and thoroughly enjoyable story. You can't help but root for Lucy as she considers both choices in directions, knowing that either one would be an amazing life to live. And if that isn't enough, the discovery of new friendships, family, sense of belonging, finding love, following one's passion, and one cute black Labrador Retriever named Ringo will simply melt your heart.

Call It Kismet is an inspirational and feel good women's fiction story that will pull at your heartstrings, touch your soul, and leave a smile on your face.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
