History of dolls

This book has an amazing overview of the history of the doll world- the only thing I thought it lacked was modern collectable dolls. It is loaded with huge photographs of dolls from different times, places, and made of different materials. There is a commentary section before each group with a little bit of information, but mostly musings from the author.
