This is a superb book. This story tells the tale of the downfall of Merrill Lynch and has all of the characters a reader would expect in good fiction - there are heroes, villains, magicians, and greed mongers. The author writes this book like a good novel. The book kept me focused as I turned each page. Best book I read in a long time. Two thumbs up.
A big story on the struggle within Merrill Lynch to survive the turmolds of the 2008 crises. It went under (like many) and came into the hands of The Bank of America. Also a story of big ego's who have no clue what to do. And last but not least: the story of where all that money. biljards of dollars, went.
A good account - very much Too Big To Fail: The Merrill Lynch cut. Clearly heavily coloured by Greg Fleming's account. Also provides interesting insight into the culture of Bank of America/NationsBank/FleetBoston/etc.

I've read at least 3 books now about the financial mess that came to a head in late 2008. This book is the most interesting, primarily because of the writing style in first person view. Either the author had extraordinary access to interview many, many, many individuals or he is good at putting it together.… (altro)
