Bella Falls

Rue and her family are witches. They buy and sell items at flea markets. At one flea market, they find their neighbor using a crystal ball to tell futures. Rue buys it from her but the woman's grandson is angry because they had been making a lot of money. He decides to steal it. Rue finds him dead in her barn. Who did it? Why? Can Rue find the murderer before the cops pin it on her uncle?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Rue and her family including the ghosts. Rue and her family run afoul of the local coven's leader. They also learn more about the crystal ball including how powerful it is. They have to discover a way to neutralize it. As the police close in on them, Rue has to protect the family and throw off the cops who are not witches. She walks a fine line.

This is the first book in the series. These are good characters. Good world building is occurring. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.… (altro)
