- As a young woman, Mrs. Dwight made an overland wagon trip from New Haven, Connecticut to Warren, Ohio. She kept a diary during this rough journey that was published posthumously as "A Journey to Ohio in 1810: As Recorded in the Journal of Margaret van Horn Dwight" (1912).
