I think the plot is interesting, but the writing is poor and ruined this book for me. The writing was wooden, boring, not interesting at all. Maybe the author can improve with effort.

This is an anthology of true murder cases in Louisiana. Some are solved, some are still open. The murder of Huey Long made headlines, others are ordinary citizens who were brutally murdered. In one case, the police felt they had solved the case, went to trial, but the jury found the person not guilty. They had a good lawyer and a sympathetic jury.
