I recommend it to all who enjoy romantic Christian suspense.

I can't really give it more than an average rating. I always think it's difficult to do both a believable romance and suspense in the page limit of Love Inspired Suspense. This book is an example of that. The suspense/action part of the story is crazy--just when you think they've gotten out of peril, boom! They're back in it.

Jesse and Abigail meet when he hires her to guide him in to the wilderness for "fishing". The whole action part probably takes place in less than a week, so they've only known each other that long and supposedly they already know they're in love. They're still in the infatuation stage of a relationship at that point. And while I don't have a problem with each appreciating the other's skillset, once the adrenaline wears off, how do you know you'd be compatible on an everyday basis?

I also don't buy Jesse's "you should become an agent and we can work together" line--I think most agencies separate relations (especially when it comes to fieldwork).… (altro)
