- Kendall Dunkelbert directs the Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing and Mississippi University for Women, where he also directs the annual Eudora Welty Writers' Symposium. He was born in Osage, Iowa, went to Knox College, and worked in Chicago at Chicago Review Press/Independent Publisher's Group. There he also participated in the early Poetry Slams at the Green Mill Lounge and performed with the Bob Shakespeare Band poetry ensemble. He is a poet and translator (from Dutch/Flemish), and lives in Columbus, Mississippi.
