- Breve biografia
- Geneviève Duboscq was a child in France during World War II and 12 years old during the Allied landing in Normandy on June 4-5, 1944. She lived with her parents in a level crossing house near the embattled town of St. Mère Eglise. She wrote an eyewitness account, My Longest Night, which became a bestseller. It was originally published in French under the title, Bye bye Geneviève.
In recognition of the assistance that Geneviève and her family gave the United States 82nd Airborne Division during the invasion, she received the Legion of Honor from the French Government. In 1965, Geneviève went on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem on foot with a donkey. She wrote a book about her journey called Et Dieu sauva mon fils (And God saved My Son).
