Oliver and Kumiko are both members of an exclusive BDSM club that have started a game requiring them to scene involving kinky activities starting with the letter K. Que in kinky activities such as kidnapping, knife play and one more revealed toward the end of the book.

Before you run for the hills about the kidnapping part of their story, Kumi has a safeword and at anytime she can safeword out if she chooses to do so.

Lila writes smoking hot BDSM scenes and she handled the realities of that type of play/scene extremely well. I swear I felt like I was living the moment with Kumiko. I didn't feel quite as connected with Oliver but I still liked him a lot.

While it's easy to gloss over the realities of real life and intense BDSM scenes, Lila gives us the good, the bad and the ugly and leaves us wanting more. Making these two feel real as they process life stress and inner voices that aren't always kind.

My only wish is that the end scene happened after their second weekend but I'm greedy that way, always wanting more of a good thing.

Master Cain Ward is a mechanical engineer with his own mechanical engineering consulting company. He's worked on designing electric motorcycles and will design something very special for Victoria. He's a big guy and used to petite, baby girl subs flocking to him but he's been crushing on one feisty, power sub that doesn't hold back or backs down.

Victoria Contreras is a trial attorney. She loves suspension rope bondage on her own terms. The checklist game and Master Cain opens her eyes to hidden thoughts and feelings making her have to re-evaluate herself and her submissive nature.

Every single book in this series is fabulous and this one is no exception. The BDSM Checklist game is suppose to pull their members out of their comfort zone and Vic is not only out of her normal safe play, she has a realization that has her questioning herself. She always thought of her and Master Cain as frenemies but will discover he's the Dom she's needs.

'L is for...' brings us leather, lace and lectures and Master Cain is creative and diabolical, giving Vic what she needs with various leather implements and toys, but not with out her brand of fiesty. I love how these two enjoyed sparring with each other, both inside and outside of play and the open communication to help work through unknown issues as they came up.

Dubois really gets into the Dom and submissive perspectives, allowing a reader to feel the intensity and the emotional turbulence that can come with intense BDSM play, as well as sensual chemistry between to people falling for each other.

If you enjoy the BDSM genre, you'll love this book. It has all the feels, sensuality and decadence that make it a five star read.

This couple were struggling, six months ago deciding to join a BDSM club in an effort to save their relationship. Liam is struggling with his dominant urges, not wanted to hurt her but he does. They receive the letter H and are paired with an experienced couple. The struggle Liam experiences was very realistic as well as Rosa's frustrations when he allowed her to top from the bottom. Really felt what this couple was feeling. This couple has suffered personal tradgedy but find their way back to each other when they finally accept and embrace their needs.

Intelligent Doms, I swear to god there is nothing sexier. Sure, some hot guy who will tie you up and can use a flogger is great but... A smart guy who can pay attention? Interpret clues? Is dedicated to making every time the best time possible? That's what Lila writes and why I always looks forward to new books in the BDSM Checklist series. They aren't perfect, they have character flaws, but they are generally invested in being great Doms, regardless of their other issues. Dante is no exception.

She also writes great female characters. Women who understand that being submissive does not mean being a doormat or brainless arm candy. Katrina may have concerns about how it will all work out, but she is strong enough to recognize that she needs to at least try, before giving it all up.

Mix it all with frequent, imaginative scenes and I'm sold. These are fiction, so of course there's an aspect of wish fulfillment, but as an example of strong relationship practices, you could aim at worse. As an added bonus, Lila's books are always well edited and I rarely get hung up on typos or grammatically painful sentences, and I'm a very happy camper!… (altro)
