I really enjoyed this book. It gave the audience a picture of all of the challenges and hardships that the homeless have to face. Along with this, it shows us how small acts of kindness can create so much hope in the lives of others.

La artista belga Claude K. Dubois intenta hacer comprensibles a los niños las traumáticas vivencias de la guerra y de la huida de la misma, una realidad para muchas personas, tomando como ejemplo la suerte del pequeño Akim.
Como una catástrofe de la naturaleza, la guerra llega a la sencilla vida del chico. Akim se queda en medio de un paisaje de desolación hasta que alguien lo lleva de la mano y es arrastrado por los que huyen.

A sad-happy story about a man who's homeless, until...... A little girl sees him and gives him a sandwich. She says that hes like a Teddy. I would recommend this for people who don't fully understand what 'Homeless' means.

I found it brought to light some issues often left ignored, namely homelessness. We generally don’t talk to children about such things, but this book provides an opportunity to introduce children to the reality of life around us and provides us with encouragement to see.
