I went to Nathu La in 1971, and did not realize that I was at the site of a war that has had a profound impact on the military relations between India and China
Probal has introduced us to some sterling Army officers, like Gen Sagat Singh. We are forever in his debt. The photographs bring the book to life, and give face to many faceless soldiers.
He has not dedicated a large portion of the book to the war itself. He has dedicated a lot of space to the events leading up to 1967, as well as the 1965 war. Also, to the epilogue.
