Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is a beloved Christmas classic read by many throughout the world. This is a Golden Book from 1972 that has a unique cut out shape. It's called a Golden Super Shape Book. Golden books are timeless classics that remind me of my childhood. I placed this book in the Folktales category because this story has been passed down from generation to generation. It has also been passed from country to country. The beloved character of Rudolph feels left out and rejected until he finds his unique place in his society. This heart warming tale gives hope to all that we all have our part to play. We all have a role to play in our world and in our communities. I would use this story around Christmas time in my classroom. I would love to read this as a read aloud and then promote a discussion afterwards. One skill that is important for children to learn is the idea of having a discussion. I would love to ask open ended questions that would hopefully lead to classroom discussion and new insights into this old book.

I normally don't read/review children's books but I found this gem at a yard sale and I lived by the town in the title so I had to get it and read it. It was a cute story about a farm boy who turned mean when he realized he wasn't growing fast enough. There was another town in PA mentioned in the book which made me smile and reminiscent. All in all, a great children's book and a fun read.

This fantasy book is based on the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes. Fantasy is obvious because the main characters are a talking cat and bird. Sylvester chaes Tweety until Tweety gets revenge. However, then Tweety misses Sylvester and rescues him afterall after chasing him away. Media: oils

The book I had as a kid handed down to my 2 year old. She doesn't quite "get it" yet but loves to walk around with it since its 'pint-sized'

pre k-3rd. Or until they don't believe in Santa. Short easy book to read. May be a little hard for kindergartners because the names. Its about a reindeer that has a red nose that gets made fun of but ends up leading the other reindeers on Xmas eve.

This book is about how tweety the bird is always running from sylvester the cat. During the story tweety tricks sylvester into getting stuck in a bird cage but tweety eventually lets slyvester free because he was getting lonely with out him. i enjoyed the book mainly because I think tweety is so cute and I like the way he talks.
