{my thoughts} - This is a short book that gives the readers of {the blemished trilogy} some more insight on Elena Darcy. If you have read the previous two {blemished books} you would know that she is a GEM and that she was created to be pure perfection. She is also on of few GEM's that have a soft side for those that are considered the Blemished based on society's ruling. I enjoyed getting to know her personality more and learning that it hadn't been a fluke choice of hers when she had assisted in the escape that had taken place in a previous book. This book is a must read for anyone that is a fan of {the blemished trilogy}.

{reason for reading} - I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.

{my thoughts} - This book helps the readers to better understand just who Margaret Murgatroyd is. When we first meet her she is really mean and really strict and hardcore for the rules. It helps to explain just who the baby in the photo was the Mina had found and what had happened in regards to the baby. But most importantly it helps us to see that as times change and experiences occur so do people change. This book is well worth the read to have some extra understanding of Margaret.

“It all comes down to one simple fact – the children of the {gem} are perfect. We are the ugly and imperfect. We are the {blemish}.” {sarah dalton}

{my thoughts} - This book is about a girl named {mina hart}. She is what is considered to be {blemished}. There are two classifications of individuals in this book the {blemished} and the {gems}. {blemishes} are trained to be the servants of the {gems}. Their sole purpose in life is to be slaves or maids. The {gems} are {genetic enhancement ministry} in other words they are spoiled rotten, they are entitled, and they are self-absorbed. They are created in test-tube environments in order to cater to the desired offspring that parents ideally want. They are fashioned to be perfect, flawless and the new future of human kind.

This book really surprised me. It wasn’t what I was expecting and I enjoyed reading it. Its about a teenage girls desire to overcome diversity, to become more then she is meant to be, to show that she is worth something, and to save her life despite the odds against her. She has three main friends {angela}, {danial} and {sebastion}. Together the three of them go on an incredible journey to prove they are more and can become more then they have been predestined to be.

{reason for reading} - I had been accepted to read an ARC for the second book in this series {the vanished}. Before I could read it I knew I needed to read this book. I don’t like reading in mid-series and being completely lost.

{my thoughts} - This book picks up right after the first one ends. {mina hart} and her friends {danial}, {sebastian} and {angela} go on an adventure to the {clans}. It is a place within {scottland} that her father wants her to flee for safety. This adventure is nothing short of {heroic}, {mind boggling} and {torturous}. She sets out for her safety but in the end she truly finds who she is as an individual and where she honestly belongs. She and her friends are forced to go through {self-discovery} phases in their lives which only help to make them stronger and to bring them closer together. It helps to truly {unite} them as family. I found this book to be well-written, the plot to be well thought out, and the conclusion to be shocking. I also have concluded that I really need the next book because my mind is always going to want to know what happened! It definitely leaves you with a thirst to desire more when more is not available.

{reason for reading} - I was kindly given the opportunity to read this book by {sarah dalton} in return for an honest review. Please be sure to see my review on her first book {the blemished}.
