Just a jumbled mess to me, from grammar to bad execution of the story. Story had good bones, but needs more revision/editing.

While the story line is good, this book is poorly written. There are so many spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, I don't know how this book made it past editors. While I can accept an occasional mistake, this book is littered with them and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless it was totally revised.

This is the story of Rachel Jackson, the most popular girl in school, who just also happens to be the meanest girl in school. Rachel is a bully, a beautiful, popular girl who degrades and puts everyone else around her down, including her 'best friend' Cassie, to make herself feel better. She does anything and everything, especially lying, to get her way and make everyone fear her yet worship her at the same time. Little do they know the real reason behind her horrible actions.
Rachel has a secret, a terrible secret that she's been hiding for 10 years. An event that happened that turned her from a sweet, innocent child to a bitch. A bitch who hurts everyone around her for her own enjoyment and to make herself feel better so she doesn't have to feel the hurt and sorrow that are her constant companions, along with those other two bitches in her head that constantly tell her to kill herself. Sarah and Kenny, the voices, are imaginary people she developed after the incident to help her cope, but for the past 10 years they've basically done nothing by try to make her end it all, which she's tried a few times. She also has become a cutter to deal with the emotional pain.
Eventually she is put into a mental hospital to try to help her deal with her demons, and at first, of course, she isn't having it and escapes. But she goes back with renewed courage to get better and heal. She reveals her secret and proceeds to try to put her life back together as best she can and get past the tragedy that was done to her.
I have to say, I wasn't a huge fan of this book. For one thing, the grammatical errors made it so painful to read. There was just SO MANY!! And the story, while good, was pretty depressing and sad. Way before the secret is revealed you have an idea of what it is. There is a bit of a twist when it's not exactly what you expected, but still, you pretty much aren't surprised by her revelation. But the anger and hate that this girl has, and the meanness that she spreads around to any and everyone, it's horrible. It's not a book I enjoyed, honestly. A little too dark emotionally for me.

I really liked this book. You love to hate Rachel, at first. Once you find out that she was molded to be that way, you end up rooting for her. The only negative about the book is the grammar. A good polishing would make this a 5 star book easily.
