This creates a contradiction with his stance on human life and his relationship with humans, which are relaxed but distant according to the atmosphere in the book. I think a painter of such intensity as Schiele has to see humanity with the same intensity and as something special, but only a fraction of that came across in the book - which turned out a bit dull after getting sucked into its world of easy sex.… (altro)
