This sits somewhere between a coffee table book and a how-to guide. It has a lot of illustrations of striking pieces of ceramic by various artists, but not quite the quality and lushness to the photographs to qualify as the former. It has a number of recipes and procedures for creating a certain effect, but many of the most interesting examples are not explained and, so, I wouldn't quite call it the latter.

I guess I'd call this a visual idea book that you pay close to a coffee table price for. In other words, it's definitely worth browsing through to say, "Oh, I'd like to try that," but you may need to hunt elsewhere for how to do so and your pocketbook will prefer that you find a copy second hand.… (altro)
