OMG! This is why I love Good Reads! I found myself working on my shelves and this book was listed with its other in the duet as a "readers who enjoyed this...." I really like BDSM D/s relationships that don't make me feel like the Dom is being a douche. Anyhow, I adored this couple, I loved the story, and I knew within the first 10 pages of the first one that this was a gem of a read. I was so happy to have read it, and I was even more happy to discover that there were only two books in thise duet. I was almost done with the second one and I checked the release date on it thinking there needed to be a third, that this would end on a cliffhanger, but it didn't. So, don't worry about that if you find yoursef getting to the end and wondering if there is. I can only say that I loved both books (Midnight Caller) and if you like real love, even with an alien bent (no tentacles) and lots of steamy but not smutty sex, you will enjoy this duet!… (altro)

“Yes, Misters” is told from the point of view of M, a professional dominatrix. At the beginning of the story she see Violet participating as a sub in a demonstration at the national BDSM convention. M is instantly drawn to her, and though they don’t speak, she obsesses and even dreams of her. Through the course of the story, M claims, collars, marries and eventually has children with Violet.

Good points: while very much a Dom/sub relationship, it is a healthy one, with no degradation or dysfunctional overtones.

Not so good points: there is no real story arc and there is no real conflict. The story just keeps going, with no sense of direction, just meandering on. While it was about the relationship between the two women, it felt aimless to me. There was also no conflict. Everything happened very easily. M never made a misstep or handled something wrong and had to deal with the consequences. They were never mad at each other at any point during the book.

While the sex was graphic and decently written, I skimmed most of it. There’s a lot of it and I guess I can only take so much.

Spice Level: 5++, very graphic sex with explicit genital specific words, BDSM heavy… (altro)
