What a glorious culmination of these books (coming out FTW!), but oh my heart for everything Jake and Alex had to go through on their journey. The ten year gap to a second chance might be one of the longest I’ve seen, and it’s kind of fascinating that we barely get anything of that time. But these two were so amazing in different ways, and I adored how they were there for each other in each timeline. This was a very slow read for me, but it definitely needed to be savored and was absolutely worth it.… (altro)
Hmm I’m not sure how I’m feeling about this one considering I adore KD Casey’s baseball novels, but this definitely didn’t have as much development as those. Josh and Chris worked well, although we didn’t really learn anything about them at all. I don’t think it was the novella format either, so I think I’m going to chalk it up to Blakely (who I’ve read before apparently but don’t have much recollection of; going to dig more into her MM books and see).
