Marvel Universe Guardians of the Galaxy (2015-) #6 - Joe Caramagna
The art is terribad and the story is serviceable, but not great. Based on the cartoon which is continuity compliant with the movie, this started out stronger and then the series sort of devolved into... this.

Ugh.

I'm going to read the next one since MU plus and I love Rocket and I'm morbidly curious to see where this goes, but this isn't worth tracking down beyond on the first four issues.

Marvel Universe Guardians of the Galaxy (2015-) #7 - Joe Caramagna, Various
The art still is pretty horrible, but the story is okay and it's more Rocket. I'm particularly interested in the tease for next issue - Rocket vs. Groot - but that's not on MU yet.

One of the Guardians betrays the others, and it's pretty easy to see who, and why, although it's enough of a blow that it takes the others a while to figure it all out. Again, nothing special in the story, or even the characterizations, but I'll continue when more comes on MU.

The writing and art are both not as good as the adult series. And children's comics can be fantastic, this one just is not.

Still, it promised Rocket vs. Groot so I was looking forward to this issue. I believe next issue is Rocket's homeworld - Halfworld, I assume - and I'm looking forward to that, too. Just not enough to pay for each issue, so it's a month's wait for me!

I thought this was a clever plot dealing with symbiotes and how the Guardians react to them. It also had a subplot with Yondu that tied nicely to the main storyline at the end. Still, not great. Not even four-star good, but not as bad as I'd expected given the previous issues...
