Hands down the greatest book I've ever read!

Tides is a heartfelt story about a huge family, the Sheridans (cousins included). Elizabeth, a newly adopted Sheridan, is just learning how to fit in when family problems start happening with her right in the middle.

Robert, whose nickname is Runt, goes to live with his sister who he thinks abandoned him six years earlier when his mother dies. Runt's life isn't much living in a trailer with his sister and her abusive boyfriend. The only thing that keeps Runt going is his unusual friendship withMitch, whom he meets in the cementary. Mitch and Robert, despite their differences, form a true friendship as they both survive the struggles life has given them.
