Vance and Delilah’s story is a unique one that took m e by surprise. It’s emotional from the start and breaks your heart while you are hoping something beautiful comes from all this tragedy, but leaves you curious if you’ll find a connection between them. Going in I wasn’t sure how I would feel about anything romantic happening between these two just because I haven’t read a story like this one where these two are practically strangers, yet tied together in so many ways it may seem wrong for them to have any chemistry but the author gives us so many emotions it’s easy to see they are destined. I couldn’t put this book down with so much happening in their lives you felt as if you are right there in the thick of it with them and you know it’s going to be a long road to healing but can they do it or will they crumble? Such a good read and handled beautifully.
