Evidently Lucien survived his near-death experience in LUCIEN HELTER SMELTER (reviewed elsewhere on LT). From the package: "spend a day in Florida with Lucien, Canada's favourite blue-collar philosopher. Lucien has been a mill worker, a bar owner, and now finally realizes a lifelong dream of becoming a Florida tourist." Great stuff -- and very unihibited about American politis. Would that American comics had been so honest in those days -- or now, for that matter.

New Brunswick's blue collar philosopher goes smelt fishin' -- and strange things happen in the shanty, along with the laughs. At one point the tension is almost unbearable. But it ends happily, as there was a third volume of LUCIEN (listed elsewhere on LT)
