Terrific Book!
This Carmelite nun has given great service to the Church through her writings. I use all her books with those who come to me for Spiritual Direction.

This was a very different book than I expected.

Sr. Ruth's theology is quite different from mine. Towards the end she writes that she does not, cannot, love God, and will not love God until she is able to love "with the heart of Christ." this gives me much to think upon....can we humans truly love the divine? Perhaps not, but I cannot stop trying!

In any case, aren't we commanded to love God in the Shema?

I wonder if the Archbishop commissions a Lenten book each year.½
