summary: In this picture book, a little girl and her dog finds a little bird that can't fly. The girl, dog and bird become friends.
reflection: THIS WAS SO CUTE. Looking at the pictures to come up with the story, because there are no words, I smiled so big. I love that the bird and the girl/dog become friends and they hang out and do things together. I also was really excited to see what happened to the bird at the end. I wonder why the little bird couldn't fly at the beginning! I wonder if there's a sequel!… (altro)

Fly, Little Bird is a wordless picture book about a friendship between a little girl, dog, and bird. The pictures help you follow along easily and does a good job telling the story even without words. Students can also make up their own story of what is going on based on the pictures.

A little girl and her dog find a bird singing in the bushes that can not fly. The little girl takes the bird home and does many activities with the bird and develops the friendship. The bird begins to fly which brings joy to the little girl. One morning the little girl wakes up and the little girl finds the bird outside flying with other birds. The girl happily returns home and the bird stays with his family.

I would have to say these are some of my favorite illustrations yet. This is an all-around heartwarming story about a girl who finds a parrot and takes him for the day. They form a friendship, and when she wants to keep him around the next day, she sees him happily playing with other birds and decides that he's should be able to be free and play with them, so she lets him go. She was sad, but she knew it would make him happy, so it was okay in the end. This shows what it means to be a friend, what it looks like to put someone else's happiness before your own, and making the right decision even when it's tough. This is a truly adorable story!… (altro)
