This book was fantastic! The art was beautiful, the characters were charming and hilarious, and even all political cleverness aside, it was magical.

This is seriously amazing. And cute. And good in all the best ways... and it includes a flower mouse, and a bunny-moon! Love IS forever. No matter if you love a girl-bunny, a boy-bunny, eat your sandwiches backwards or forwards. Everyone is different - and that's OK! Don't let those stink-bugs tell you otherwise!

Eight Stars. The extras for laughter, smiles, and the sheer happiness of a really good story told so well.

Last Week Tonight With John Oliver Presents-- a Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo is a sweet book for those of us who see no problem with loving one's own gender. The illustrations are engaging and, except for the Stink Bug, the characters are nice. (There is an angry chef in the background on one page, but Marlon Bundo and Wesley did inadvertently leave his kitchen a mess. To be honest, I'm surprised the cake wasn't crushed when they hopped on it.) I'm glad I own and have read it.

We loved this book! It is an adorable story with a great message, and I can't wait to get a physical copy to add it to our library. We listened to it on Audible and I HIGHLY recommend it. The actors picked to do the voices are perfect! My 6 year old and I listened to it 6 times already and I'm sure we will be reading it many times over the coming years.

An Amazing Book with a Worthy Motive

Marlon Bundo is a bunny to be admired! My whole family loves this book and its positive message. We also love that the proceeds go to two wonderful causes.

Of course, I too got swept up in the gleeful sanctimonious furor over Charlotte Pence’s children’s book about Marlon Bundo, the Vice President’s pet bunny. I immediately ordered a copy of the John Oliver version from my local bookstore even though I have no children and the book remained on back-order for weeks. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally received the book. The artwork is lovely and the story is truly endearing. When Marlon catches sight of his soon-to-be husband, he gushes:

“I was standing still. But being near him made me feel like my heart was still hopping.”

Precious!

The illustrations are cute, but political picture books are not my thing. (And that goes to either end of the political spectrum. I'm not exactly a huge fan of politics in general.) The same message could have gotten across without so many overt references to the current political clime, but as with every review on Goodreads, that's just my personal opinion.

This was incredibly cute and it almost made me cry. I’m gay and I’ll tell you even if you have surrounded yourself with very supportive people, that can be hard to come to terms with and I hope this book will genuinely help some child even if it started as a joke.

Cute illustrations, with an important message about it being okay to love who you want, but 4.67 rating seems inflated to me (although who doesn't like John Oliver or a good cause.) Marlon Bundo is a lonely bunny, who lives with Mike Pence, VPOTUS, and family. Marlon discovers he likes another boy bunny, which is OK for most everyone, except you know who.

Read a friend's copy as it was sold out everywhere. What a delightful book - the art is vivid, consistent, and full of character. The language is simple enough for young children but not so simple that it is a chore for the adult 'performing' the book. The message of love and acceptance is timeless, and one that more than a few adults need to hear. The fact that 100% of the proceeds from the book go to highly-rated charities is icing on the cake. Can't wait to get my own copy.

Marlon Bundo is the BOTUS, the Bunny of the United States. He lives a lonely life in a big, boring house until one day he meets Wesley, the most bunny-beautiful rabbit in the garden. It’s love at first sight. They decide they want to get married and hop together forever. But the Stink Bug tells them that boy bunnies can only marry girl bunnies. What can they do?

This is cute but it might work slightly better as a political satire for adults than as a straightforward picture book. Children will enjoy the lovely illustrations and the basic story as a kind of fairy tale but older readers will recognize Mike Pence, Marlon’s owner, and his political rhetoric as the Stink Bug.

Either way, the happily-ever-after, the importance of voting, and the celebration of differences both big and small are sure to please readers of all ages who believe, like Marlon, that “Stink bugs are temporary. Love is forever.”

Great kids book about love.

You should read this book to your kids if you want them to see that all love is great and normal. It's totally fine if a boy bunny loves another boy bunny.

For an audiobook for all of 7 minutes long, it was rather cute and metrosexual for a little children's book.

The tongue-in-cheek reply to the original BOTUS book by the wife of the vice-president, made very popular by John Oliver, is less impressive to me than how well it was pulled off by Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory fame. :)

Quite cute. :)

This book is a children's picture book about a gay rabbit. As far as I'm concerned, it's the best children's picture book about a gay rabbit that's out there. A cute and sweet story, about a rabbit. That's gay.

I bought this book for the parody aspect and the charity drive associated with it. However, when I read it, I discovered that it's also a sweet book with great art and an important message. Yes, I enjoy it more because of the parody. But you could read this without knowing any of the background about why the book was published and still completely enjoy it, and still get a great message out of it.

This is a charming book about the very gay bunny of the VP of the United States, and it's basically what it says on the tin. The kind of children's book I can't wait to read my kids, with its messages of hope, love, and acceptance overcoming forces of hatred and close-mindedness. Fab.
